'Terrifying' Saudi novel wins Arabic Booker

London, England (CNN) -- Saudi novelist Abdo Khal, who won the Arabic Booker prize for his novel depicting the ravaging effects of unlimited wealth, says he writes about the "double standards in our life."


Khal won the prestigious $60,000 International Prize for Arabic Fiction for his novel, "Spewing Sparks as Big as Castles."

Donny and Marie Osmond to return to Las Vegas show

(PEOPLE.com) -- Donny and Marie Osmond have added several dates to their Las Vegas show to make up for canceled performances due to the death of Marie's 18-year-old son.


The duo have added five shows between April 13 and 17 at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino.
